How do I choose a plastic surgeon in Toronto?
Finding the right plastic surgeon can feel overwhelming. When doing your research, look for board certification, hospital privileges, and before-and-after photos, and come to your consultation prepared with questions.
What happens during a plastic surgery consultation?
During a typical consultation, your surgical team will ask you about your goals and medical history, perform a thorough examination, and curate a surgical plan tailored specifically for you and your needs.
Consultation Steps:
- • Initial Intake & Goal Assessment
- • Comprehensive Physical Examination
- • Photographs & Predictive Modeling
- • Customized Treatment Plan Review
Am I a good candidate for plastic surgery?
There are many factors that your surgeon considers during the consultation, including your overall health, age, the quality of your soft tissues, previous surgeries, functional and cosmetic concerns. Dr. Yeung and Dr. Mahoney will always provide honesty and prioritize your overall health when determining whether or not you are a good candidate for surgery.
How long do the results last after a plastic surgery procedure?
It depends! Typically, procedures related to the face recover within 2 weeks, while breast and body procedures recover within 6 weeks. Post-operative swelling and final results may not be apparent until 3-6 months. These estimates also vary from patient to patient.
